ROOTS IN SWITZERLAND
Daniel Wurster opened his first bakery in Basel, Switzerland, laying the foundation for a legacy of excellence. His son Paul continued the tradition, mastering the art of baking through rigorous apprenticeship and schooling.

MASTERING THE CRAFT
Paul Wurster’s sons began baking before dawn, apprenticing under Master Bakers and attending trade school—upholding Europe’s demanding standards of craftsmanship.

AMERICAN BEGINNING
Charlie Wurster brought the family’s treasured recipes to America, opening Swiss Chalet Bakery in Morristown. The tradition of quality and freshness began anew.

Tradition Continues
55 years later, Swiss Chalet Bakery still uses the original Wurster recipes, offering hundreds of cakes, breads, and pastries at 159 South St.
